Overview

RJG, Inc., a leader in injection molding technology and training, is searching for a Sales Manager at our Latin American entity, located in Chihuahua, Mexico. The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving RJG’s revenue growth strategy by developing new business and expanding and sustaining existing business to meet financial objectives. They will lead a team in prospecting, qualifying, and generating sales of RJG’s products and services while ensuring RJG is professionally and responsibly represented in the injection molding industry.

They will collaborate with RJG's management team in the implementation of strategic plans, the achievement of financial objectives, the recruitment, training, and development of employees, as well as the preservation of a strong workplace culture in line with RJG's core values.

Reports to: Managing Director of Global Entities

Responsibilities

- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas and meet sales revenue goals.
- Identify strategic long-term clients, build relationships, develop attractive, profitable, and value-added business solutions, and lead teams to secure substantial and repeatable orders.
- Create demand for strategic offerings to target customers by deploying value-add sales resources that utilize industry expertise to identify, quantify, and solve customer problems.
- Create, actively manage, and report out plans to reach specific sales objectives, profitable growth, and market share improvement.
- Establish and utilize a data-driven forecasting process that ensures delivery of the revenue plan.
- Establish and manage leading and lagging Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) that align to delivering company strategy and current business.
- Maintain a consistent sales operating cadence to focus on delivering orders and performance.
- Develop and maintain effective and efficient sales processes, including Territory Management, Goal/Quota Management, Account Management, Opportunity Pursuit, and Sales Operations.
- Understand customer, market, and competitor trends to identify opportunities and mitigate downside to achieve revenue targets.
- Use 80/20 principles to prioritize customers, products, activities, and resources.
- Coordinate with regional resources to meet client needs.
- Prepare contract proposals and specifications, negotiate and conclude contracts.
- Host virtual and in-person meetings and presentations with clients.
- Attend trade shows, product trials, and demonstrations with other RJG team members.
- Report on experience in the provision of RJG products and/or services to convert activities into RJG business uses or tools for future interactions with customers.
- Attend internal product and sales meetings to balance SMART initiatives with the sales organization.
- Use Zoho Project to manage deadlines, deliverables, and customer-related tasks, and record all customer communications in Zoho CRM for team visibility.
- Track revenue, sales prospects, and projects using Zoho CRM and maintain accurate client and project records (contacts, communications, documents, proposals, POs, etc.).

Strategic Leadership

- Develop and align multi-year strategic plans and annual tactical plans to achieve company objectives.
- Estimate revenue and identify business objectives for Latin America; monitor profitability of projects.
- Prepare and monitor annual budget to optimize revenue flow and manage fixed costs.
- Monitor and evaluate technical, administrative, and financial performance and report monthly to management.
- Implement lean procedures and continuous improvement of policies, procedures, schedules, and work plans to optimize performance and efficiency.
- Ensure RJG is professionally represented in the injection molding industry and meet desired service, responsiveness, and quality standards.
- Improve internal processes and enable cross-functional collaboration to maximize team efficiency.
- Assess, identify, and obtain needed resources to meet project and customer requirements.
- Approve purchase requisitions, expense reports, and related items.

Technical Expertise/Product Knowledge

- Maintain a high degree of product knowledge, including quality, engineering, competitive advantages, customer applications, benefits, and features.
- Ensure new customer requirements are collected and shared with internal teams to initiate project management.
- Provide exceptional service and project management to key customers to support ongoing production and delivery needs.
- Drive a sense of urgency to meet customer commitments; represent RJG at trade shows and deliver technical presentations at events.
- Collect and report industry trends, competitor information, and customer news.

Talent Management

- Create a motivated, efficient, process-driven team; establish roles/responsibilities with updated job descriptions.
- Model RJG’s core values and culture, build teamwork, and resolve personnel issues fairly.
- Organize department coverage to meet minimum staffing requirements and assist in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and performance management.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members; support personal and professional development plans.
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards; promote safety and adherence to best practices.

Qualifications

- 10+ years experience as a Commercial Manager and in leadership of high-performance teams across disciplines.
- 10+ years of value creation experience and proven ability to drive culture and behavioral transformation.
- Plastic Injection Molding industry knowledge and RJG product knowledge preferred.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (reading, writing, speaking).
- Strong commercial acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to communicate with executives.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experienced with CRM systems (Zoho preferred).
