the business unit manager will oversee the end-to-end sales process, from market penetration to deal closure, guaranteeing profitable growth and the achievement of commercial objectives.this role requires a strategic leader with a hands-on approach, capable of driving sales performance, managing customer accounts, and scaling business operations across the region.what otelo offerscompetitive analysts.take ownership of the full sales cycle, from lead generation to opportunity management processescontribute to continuous improvement in sales processes and customer satisfactionensure accuracy in the customer relationship management (crm) systemcoach and develop the team to optimize their potential.define the area sales strategy in collaboration with the managing directorincrease level of business within specified sectors and targeted customers.monitor market trends, providing insights for an effective sales approachmonitor, control and achieve sales and customer support revenue volumes against budgeted targets in latam.assist in preparing accurate and timely forecast information and other sales management information as required.heighten the profile of the company in target.ensure the implementation of the business strategic plan.support the development of business initiatives.provide the business income levels and report formally on sales activity, client development, competition and key performance indicators.create and animate the tsp, forecast process and budget process for each engineer in line with the area sales strategy.to deliver area revenue for the customers in charge.create and maintain relationships at key levels with selected customers and accounts.take an active and leading role in lead generation, customer visits, technical responses and contract negotiations.person specification/job requirementsminimum 5 years of experience in b2b sales, with at least 2 years in team management.coaching and mentorship: proven ability to coach and mentor team members, driving their professional growth and improving performance.performance management: skilled in setting and monitoring kpis, conducting performance reviews, and implementing corrective actions to meet sales targets.team building: experience in building and scaling high-performing sales teams, including recruiting, onboarding, and retaining talent.conflict resolution: strong interpersonal skills for addressing and resolving team conflicts effectively.sales process optimization: expertise in analyzing and refining sales processes to improve efficiency and conversion rates.data-driven decision making: familiarity with sales analytics to make informed decisions and track team success.cultural sensitivity: ability to manage and lead teams in a companies or working with multicultural teams is preferred.fluency in spanish and english is required; proficiency in portuguese or french is a strong advantage.excellent communication and
