key responsibilities
* lead and implement financial planning, budgeting, accounting, procurement, and payroll processes, ensuring compliance with regional and national regulations.
* manage internal controls, audits, and risk management activities, collaborating with insurance and risk management teams.
* oversee all financial reporting functions including monthly, annual, and ad hoc reports for corporate and client stakeholders.
* administer the full accounting cycle including general ledger, revenue recognition, cost accounting, and property and operational expenditures.
* review and authorize contracts, settlements, and financial disbursements related to events, concessions, and subcontractors.
* support hr functions and payroll administration on-site.
* collaborate with department leaders to drive financial performance, offering insights and actionable recommendations.
* prepare for and support external and client audits, implementing audit recommendations as required.
qualifications
* bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
* 5-7 years of experience in public accounting and / or financial management at the director or senior managerial level.
* advanced knowledge of general and cost accounting principles.
* strong analytical and mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail.
* demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
* preferred experience with adp payroll systems and sage accounting software.
* fluency in english (spoken, written, and reading) is highly desirable.
* cpa or mba credentials are considered a plus.
