*environment, health, and safety coordinator, your future role?*
- you will coordinate all environmental, health and safety (ehs) functions for our flavors manufacturing facilities in cuernavaca, mexico, in compliance with givaudan ehs guidelines and applicable regulations. You will implement strategies to reduce environmental impact and risk and lead cultural change to reduce the probability of ehs incidents. You will also influence individuals at all levels to enhance the ehs culture throughout the organization and help ensure that everyone get home safe every day
- you will report to the ehs manager and work on-site in our flavors industrial facility located in cuernavaca.
- your main responsibilities will be:
- provide technical and tactical guidance for establishing improvements to goals, results, and action plans related to reducing water and energy usage, co2 emissions and waste generation, and reducing the site's accident rate managing red risks, such as process safety, fire safety, machine safety, chemical safety, forklift safety, and electrical safety, using tools such as risk portfolio, to ensure business continuity.
- provide 360-degree influence to consolidate ehs as an important partner of production areas and ensure safety culture programs such as human organizational performance and ehs facilitators to assist people in making the safest decisions on the shop floor.
- develop your direct team through the use of tools such as the individual development plan (ido), and ensure technical training in ehs for the entire plant to increase risks awareness.
- implement givaudan's management systems, such as the responsible care management, and locally recommended standards such as iso to comply with applicable legal requirements and continuous improvement.
- implement site emergency response procedures and its adherence to the mutual support group of the industrial park to keep it prepared to respond to any type of emergency that could jeopardize individuals or the business.
*you?*
- your professional profile must include:
- university degree in ehs, chemical engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or related discipline.
- master's degree in ehs.
- at least 5 years of experience as an ehs specialist in the chemicals industry.
- knowledge of site risk management tools, especially process safety, machine safety, and fire safety.
- knowledge of local safety and environmental standards.
- advanced it tools knowledge.
- fluent english, both oral and written.
