Job Opening –Trade Compliance Specialist (Tijuana, B.C.)

Job Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assign HTS classifications to a wide variety of products
- Perform USMCA/ TMEC analysis and other FTA analysis
- Review Bill of Materials and Certificates of Origin to support FTA eligibility
- Provide support in CTPAT projects
- Provide support in the Reconciliation Program
- Evaluate ACE import / export reports and provide strategic analysis and statistical reporting
- Support the Trade Compliance department in carrying out different tasks related to import/export related activities
- Provide support in developing trade compliance and supply chain security related policies, processes, etc.
Experience and Requirements:
- Minimum experience of 3 years in a similar position at a Customs Broker, Maquiladora/IMMEX or Trade Compliance consulting firm.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Comercio Exterior, International Business or the like
- Languages: Advanced level of English (spoken and written)
- Strong knowledge and experience in assigning HTS codes
- Strong knowledge and experience in USMCA/TMEC analysis
- Strong knowledge and experience in reviewing Bill of Materials and Certificates of Origin
- Knowledge in US Customs Special Programs (i.e. 9801, 9802)
- Knowledge in Reconciliation Program (preferred but not required)
- Knowledge in CTPAT and OEA
- Knowledge in import/export customs documents and data elements required for US and Mexican Customs
- Above Average Excel skills required
- Proficient in Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Visa required, availability to travel to the United States if required.
