job summary
the operations technician is responsible for maintaining, completing setups, and repairs of the equipment of the production lines. He/she is responsible for ensuring that all nonplanned maintenance work assigned to him/her for all the production equipment is performed, keeping the expected levels of the department in the gmps (good manufacturing practices).
duties & responsibilities
* responsible for the adjustments/setup of the manufacturing equipment and their corresponding documentation.
* provides support to manufacturing for the timely repair of equipment and machinery.
* performs corrective and emergency nonplanned maintenance activities according to the approved methods and documentation.
* participates in the transfer of new production lines.
* provides recommendations and technical support in new projects and oac.
* complies with all the safety policies of the company and other safety precautions within the work area.
* ensures compliance with the responsibilities of the environment management systems (ems).
* enters daily tasks in ecmms or in the system assigned for that purpose.
* responsible for the management of the cmms maximo maintenance system for juarez, regarding maintenance planning tasks.
* responsible for communicating business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level.
* performs other duties assigned as needed.
experience and education
* technical career or equivalent, applicable to: mechanics, electric, electro-mechanics, electronics, metrology, instrumentalist.
* 3 to 5 years of experience and/or related training preferably.
required knowledge, skills, abilities, certifications/licenses and affiliations
* knowledge of good manufacturing practices and documentation preferably in the medical industry.
* bilingual, spanish/english, preferably.
* knowledge of maximo system (computerized system for the management of maintenance), preferably.
