in fortune brands innovations, inc., we're looking for a product manager in nuevo leon. You will work with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and validate product changes from concept to launch. You will mentor new talent, especially entry-level engineers, with the possibility to mentor interns. Your design work will support our continuous improvement and cost reduction agendas to improve the health of our business.


job description

responsible for product portfolio management: product strategy, deletion, product positioning, pricing, and product portfolio analysis.

partnering with product development and marketing teams to ensure that customers' needs and values are incorporated into product design, branding, and marketing approaches.

* provide critical input to situation analysis for assigned product portfolio as part of the annual strategic planning process.
* with approval from the group product manager, provide pricing for assigned product portfolio, driving revenue and margin contribution to achieve p&l objectives.
* define market segment priorities and partner with channel marketing to establish go to market strategies and plans to achieve p&l objectives.
* develop and execute a 3-year product plan, conducting ongoing analysis to align timing and resources.
* partner with global product development on product plan execution.
* lead cross-functional product development teams and provide marketing leadership.
* provide direction on value proposition, unique selling proposition, price, margin, and supply for new product development.
* own product lifecycle management for the assigned product portfolio, including all product launches and plans for discontinued products.
* partner with innovation on the definition and scoping of projects.
* develop product training content to be delivered internally (to sales team) and externally (to customers) by channel marketing.
* partner with brand marketing to ensure alignment of product with brand plan.
* lead the product team to meet objectives needed for the business.


qualifications

* bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field is required; mba is preferred.
* minimum of 6 years of experience in marketing and 3 years in product management; prior consumer/durable goods experience is preferred.
* strong analytical skills, including the ability to derive insights from data, are essential for market and competitive evaluation, pricing, and line management.
* demonstrated ability to be a team player with skills to lead/participate in cross-functional teams.
* excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
* ability to travel approximately 15%, mainly to customer locations.
* interpersonal skills necessary for coordination within latam teams and multiple international teams (china/canada/us).
