Project engineer role
the project engineer plays a pivotal role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of infrastructure projects. This involves ensuring that all technical, safety, quality, and financial requirements are met, aligning with the portfolio strategy.
main responsibilities
* project planning & execution
provides technical inputs for business case analyses, including feasibility studies, technical risk assessments, preliminary cost estimates, and project execution plans. Develops and reviews technical specifications, scope documents, and project schedules.
* technical support & compliance
ensures compliance with safety, environmental, internal codes/standards, and regulatory requirements. Provides technical assessments, drawing review, and solutions during design and execution phases.
* coordination & stakeholder management
coordinates with contractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure timely and quality deliverables. Serves as liaison between departments and external stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
* risk & issue management
identifies project risks and implements mitigation plans. Manages incident reports and change requests, ensuring prompt resolution and adherence to project standards.
