position summary
adjust parameters, direct, and control the required tools for cnc automatic equipment; in the process of preparing set-up according to engineering specifications and planning. Ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency at each stage of the set-up process.
essential responsibilities
* mount and dismount tooling directly on machining equipment safely, always assessing safety risks to colleagues or any risky activities, stopping unsafe processes, and notifying supervisors immediately.
* run programs safely, evaluating potential risks of misalignment that could damage personnel, colleagues, or machinery.
* support colleagues in preparing and adjusting machines during set-up to ensure the product meets specifications and documentation such as inspection sheets are properly filled out as evidence of compliance, or develop the set-up independently.
* assist colleagues in meeting the established times in the routers for set-up execution and other activities required for the machine to produce compliant products.
* follow the production plan provided by the supervisor to always deliver production orders on time.
* adjust the program as necessary to meet the times established in the routers following odi 700-01 procedures.
* support colleagues in performing their set-up without producing defective parts, anticipating incorrect adjustments to avoid scrap, or perform their own set-up without scrap.
* maintain an organized storage of tools, accessories, materials, and documentation following good 5s practices.
position requirements
education: minimum secondary education.
* 2 years of experience in the field.
* proficiency in windows office, autocad, pro-e, technical drawing interpretation, cnc programming, and related software.
* knowledge and operation of workshop machinery related to machining.
languages:
* 50% bilingual spanish – english, fluent reading comprehension.
* technical english related to equipment interpretation, blueprints, and materials in the machining workshop.
