. As an applications engineer for stimulation and hydraulic fracturing, you will be the technical expert and key support for cementing operations in the field. You will provide specialized analysis, remote and on-site technical support, operational coordination, and technical governance to ensure that every job is executed according to baker hughes standards, client requirements, and the
manage the job cycle (mtjc) process .
this role ensures that technical knowledge flows within the organization, that operations have expert support, and that operational learning is consolidated to continuously improve service delivery.
main responsibilities
* ensure compliance with the manage the job cycle (mtjc) process in each cementing operation.
* to be the subject matter expert (sme) in assigned cementing technologies, systems, and methodologies.
* provide technical support to the field through various means: calls, remote assistance, program review, reports and technical documentation.
* provide 24/7 support during critical operations or incidents requiring immediate technical intervention.
* assume end-to-end responsibility for resolving post-sales technical issues, ensuring timely closure and customer satisfaction.
* working together with business leaders and key stakeholders to define technical needs, agree on the approach to projects, and present results of analyses, studies, and lessons learned from operations.
* coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and lead small teams (technical and/or support) to ensure compliance with scope, timelines and quality.
* manage and serve diverse clients within a region, operating under predefined contracts and frameworks, ensuring technical alignment and contractual compliance.
* sharing and documenting knowledge through best practices, lessons learned, case studies, and contributions to the corporate knowledge base.
* follow up on operational failures that require engineering or technology involvement, ensuring timely analysis and proper closure.
* issue alerts when unfamiliar technical conditions arise that may affect service quality or well integrity.
* provide technical coaching, guidance and support to operational staff and other technical resources in training.
* communicate findings, problems, results, and lessons learned to the engineering and technology team.
* support specific projects related to operational improvements, new tools, or procedure updates.
* ensure technical alignment with service delivery standards, hse, operational integrity and product line requirements.
minimum requirements
* between 3 and 5 years of experience in the design of stimulation and hydraulic fracturing of oil wells, with direct exposure to field operations.
* minimum 5 years of experience in
stimulation and hydraulic fracturing within pressure pumping or related areas.
* university degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (stem).
* intermediate english (ability to communicate technically and prepare reports).
* experience in managing and resolving post-sales technical problems with clients.
* ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize under pressure.
* strong analytical skills and a structured approach to problem-solving.
* ability to develop, guide, and mentor others.
* availability to provide support outside of working hours when operations require it.
* good communication skills, both technical and interpersonal.
desirable characteristics
* extensive understanding of the technologies and requirements of service delivery in cementing.
* significant operational experience in cementing or related areas within pressure pumping.
* comprehensive knowledge of the drilling and completion process (desirable).
* ability to learn and use digital tools for analysis, data visualization and preparation of technical reports.
* ability to work independently, making informed decisions in complex situations.
