responsible of dimensional analisys, gauge validation, verification & calibration, support in metrology for production activities.
essential responsibilities
* maintain the calibration database organized and up to date.
* keep calibration records secure and stored.
* maintain and manage lab schedule including workload and meeting deadline commitments.
* capability analysis as directed by the customer and the quality assurance manager.
* msa and r&r studies, and analyze results, for personnel and equipment used to perform quality verification activities.
* suggest improved measurement methods, gages and holding fixtures as required for in process part validation.
* perform routine care, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory and cmm equipment.
* collect "out-of-calibration" equipment (or notify owner) to prevent use of uncertified instruments.
* back up quality auditor as need arises.
* maintain an organized and professional appearing workspace.
* adherence to qms documentation.
* perform other duties, as developed or assigned by management
qualifications/requirements
* associate or technical degree
* calibration and adjustment experience
* ability to perform statistical analysis and msa
* 2 years minimum of quality control (precision measurements knowledge)
* specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
desired characteristics
* intermediate english
* expert in use of precision measurement equipments & calibration masters
* solid understanding of process audits, engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (gd&t)
* experience in the use of gage crib inventory and tracking software, preferrably gagetrak
* cmm operation and cmm programming intermediate or advanced
* ms office (excel)
* sap is a plus
* desirable aerospace or aviation background
