key responsibilities:
* governance & risk management:
o develop and implement internal controls and compliance frameworks.
o oversee audit processes and ensure timely resolution of findings.
o mitigate financial and operational risks.
o evaluate and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* financial reporting:
o manage month-end closings and consolidated financial statements.
o ensure statutory accounts accuracy and integrity.
o support tax audits and coordinate with global tax teams.
* business partnering & process excellence:
o partner with commercial and supply chain finance teams to drive cost control, investments, and working capital alignment.
o collaborate with shared services to monitor quality and drive continuous improvement.
o initiate process simplification and enhancement initiatives.
* team leadership:
o lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals.
o foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
requirements:
* minimum 5 years of experience in controlling, audit, or finance operations in multinational or matrixed environments.
* strong knowledge of accounting principles and internal control frameworks.
* experience working with shared services, tax, and global finance functions.
* proficiency in sap, excel, and other financial tools.
* bilingual in english and spanish.
* degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
