At 11 agency, the account manager plays a critical dual role: you're not only the face of the client relationship but also the driver of internal execution. From shaping strategy and leading performance calls to managing timelines and cross-functional collaboration, you own the full lifecycle of success for every account you touch.
this role demands both strategic thinking and operational precision. You'll guide email and sms marketing initiatives from kickoff to results, ensuring every campaign is aligned, on-brand, and delivered on time.
key responsibilities
client strategy & communication
* lead all external client communication via email, slack, and zoom
* run weekly or bi-weekly client calls with agendas, insights, and follow-ups
* present retention strategies, campaign results, and growth opportunities
retention marketing & account health
* develop and implement email/sms retention strategies tailored to client goals
* perform klaviyo health checks and roadmap updates
* monitor and optimize account kpis (deliverability, engagement, revenue impact)
campaign & project oversight
* own monthly campaign planning aligned with strategic goals
* coordinate internal team execution across copy, design, and dev
* ensure all campaigns and flows are delivered on time and meet quality standards
* draft briefs and task assignments with clear strategic context
* lead internal pod syncs, manage task boards, and surface blockers
performance reporting & optimization
* prepare and share weekly client performance reports
* lead a/b testing plans and data-driven experimentation
* use benchmarks and past data to suggest new retention plays
what we're looking for
* 2+ years experience in account management, preferably in a marketing or ecommerce agency
* strong working knowledge of klaviyo and retention marketing (email + sms)
* proven ability to manage strategy, timelines, and team coordination across accounts
* excellent communication and presentation skills — both written and verbal
* strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
* confident leading client calls and internal syncs
* a professional video call setup with a neat background (this will be tested in the interview process)
