*qualifications*:
- this position is open for fresh graduates and young professionals open to be trained, work remotely with his own equipment, and can work extra hours or weekends when necessary
- preferably with knowledge or experience in drayage (container) truck dispatching in us, australia, or canada setting
- strong knowledge of port operations, drayage logistics, and transportation regulations (usa setting)
- excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- proficient in the english language
- proficient in using dispatch software and microsoft office suite
- self-managed team player
- availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends, if needed
*responsibilities*:
- plan, schedule, and dispatch drayage operations to ensure timely pickup and delivery of containers
- ensure timely delivery while optimizing routes and maintaining compliance with industry regulations (usa setting)
- communicate effectively with drivers, port authorities, warehouses, and customers
- monitor container movements and update status in the dispatch system in real time
- optimize routes to maximize efficiency and reduce costs
- resolve operational issues, including delays, equipment shortages, and driver concerns
- track and manage detention, demurrage, and other charges to minimize costs
- provide accurate and timely reports on operations and performance metrics
*work arrangement*:
- remote set-up
- monday to friday (6:00-15:00 pst or 9:00-18:00 pst)
- full-time contractor
*starting rate*:
- starting base pay of $800-$1,000 (negotiable depending on experience) with potential increases and bonuses depending on performance
