purpose leads and oversees the development of physical security programs, with direct oversight of centre two (mexico, peru, chile, uruguay, colombia and dominican republic) and support centre 1 as required, ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
accountabilities
leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
owns the asset protection program to mitigate identified risks to protect the bank's assets.
owns the employee preparedness program to support employees with workplace safety training, education campaigns, and resources.
owns the travel communicating vision / values / business strategy; and, managing succession and development planning for the team.
education experience
this role is located in mexico.
bachelor's degree or diploma in a related field.
most liberal arts degrees apply (i.e. Political science, risk management, business, military studies, development studies, etc.).
english and spanish required.
years of leadership experience within a corporate or government security department or organization with similar complexity to scotiabank's operations.
working conditions
work in a standard office-based environment.
this role functions between a standard office environment and scotiabank facilities; however candidate(s) must be available 24/7 for emergency response and be available for travel as required.
international and domestic travel is a key component of this position; wherever possible advance notice will be provided, however situations may dictate travel with minimal advance notice.
