what does a qc do at hogarth?
the qc ensures all video, audio, print materials, and project collections are received and delivered with the highest quality, adhering to brand and client specifications.
duties:
1. review and validate final deliverables: examine video, print, digital, and transcreated assets to ensure they meet technical specs, brand guidelines, and project requirements before release.
2. flag and document quality issues: identify issues such as typos, layout shifts, color inconsistencies, sync errors, missing translations, or incorrect formats, and log them clearly for revision.
3. cross-check against brief and references: compare assets against client briefs, master files, and reference documents to confirm consistency and fidelity across markets and formats.
4. perform linguistic and layout checks: for localized content, verify language accuracy, formatting, alignment, and that copy fits within layout constraints.
5. validate technical specs and platform requirements: confirm that deliverables meet platform or media specs (e.g., frame rate, resolution, aspect ratio, color space, safety margins, subtitling rules).
6. use qc tools and checklists accurately: follow standardized qc checklists and utilize proprietary or external tools to ensure thorough reviews.
7. collaborate with project and post teams: communicate effectively with project managers, editors, designers, and producers to clarify issues and support quick turnaround on fixes.
8. support end-to-end quality assurance: identify recurring issues, workflow inconsistencies, or project setup misalignments, contributing to broader qa and process improvements.
requirements:
* bachelor's degree in communication or graphic design
* at least 3 years of experience in a video/moving images studio
* knowledge of adobe after effects, premiere, photoshop, illustrator
* knowledge of 3d software (maya, blender, cinema 4d) is a plus
* knowledge of composition software (nuke, fusion studio) is a plus
* proficiency in microsoft office suite
