Supply operations team: strategy, business and analytics office analyst
ford méxico is seeking a highly analytical and strategic individual to contribute to critical initiatives that enhance the resilience and efficiency of our global supply chain. This role is part of the supply operations team (sot) and focuses on developing and optimizing processes, coaching and training, and leading key strategic projects that proactively identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure continuity of ford production. This is a cross-functional role serving as a primary liaison between the sot, gdia (global data insight & analytics), it, purchasing, sta (supplier technical assistance), mp&l (material planning & logistics), and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
responsibilities
* business process optimization & training leadership: lead end-to-end process mapping for existing and new supply chain risk management functions; document current states and identify significant improvements.
* design, develop, and implement optimized business processes and sops that reduce bureaucracy, increase speed, and enhance operational efficiency within sot and cross-functional partners.
* own assigned processes, ensuring deployment, adoption, and continuous refinement based on performance data and feedback.
* develop, deliver, and continuously improve training programs and materials for sot team members and cross-functional partners on new tools, optimized processes, and best practices.
* coach and mentor team members on new processes and tools; foster a culture of continuous learning and high performance.
* conduct competency assessments and establish baselines to measure training effectiveness and identify further development needs.
* high-velocity case management & risk mitigation: improve case management processes (e.g., pega) to enhance efficiency, reduce resolution times, and improve data quality.
* analyze case data to identify root causes of repeat issues and systemic risks; develop preventative actions (pacs) and process controls to mitigate future occurrences.
* lead initiatives to reduce key risk indicators such as lost units, production disruptions, and supplier releases delays; focus on target reductions with accelerated pace.
* develop strategies to improve case management efficiency, reduce red/yellow cases, and increase proactive case handling with timely escalation.
* performance monitoring & reporting for action: define, track, and report on kpis and leading indicators related to supply chain risk and operational excellence; provide actionable intelligence.
* ensure data accuracy and timeliness for monthly metrics filings, weekly operations reviews, and executive-level reporting.
* develop and maintain tracking mechanisms for project milestones, process adherence, and training completion rates with regular stakeholder updates.
* strategic project management & rapid deployment: own and drive workstreams within strategic supply chain risk management projects; emphasize rapid development and execution.
* manage full lifecycle of project elements from planning to deployment, adoption, and post-implementation evaluation; align with sot objectives and kpis.
* proactively track and report progress, identify roadblocks, and propose agile solutions to maintain velocity.
* drive implementation and utilization of tools such as pega case management and ascent platforms; serve as sme and guide sot on effective use.
* cross-functional collaboration & stakeholder management: act as a primary liaison between sot, gdia, it, purchasing, sta, mp&l, and other stakeholders to ensure data integration and project execution.
* facilitate discussions and workshops with cross-functional teams to align on process changes, project requirements, and training needs.
* advanced analytics interpretation & application for risk mitigation: collaborate with data scientists to interpret and apply predictive and prescriptive models for supply chain risk segmentation and proactive interventions.
* leverage ai solutions and predictive models to inform business process redesign and operational strategies.
* translate analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and operational teams.
* utilize diverse data sources to build comprehensive risk profiles and enable robust decision-making.
* technical acumen: deep understanding of supply chain principles, risk management, supplier management, and operational excellence methodologies.
* proficiency in business process mapping, analysis, and redesign (e.g., value stream mapping).
* proficiency with data analysis/visualization tools (e.g., power bi, qlik, tableau).
* knowledge of ai/ml concepts and their application in supply chain prediction and optimization.
* project management & training expertise: ability to manage project tasks, track progress, and deliver training programs to diverse audiences.
* strong coaching and mentoring abilities with a passion for developing team capabilities.

qualifications
* bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, process engineering, business analytics, operations, industrial engineering or a related quantitative field.
* 5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, business analysis, process improvement, training, or related analytical role within automotive or complex global supply chains.
* 3+ years of demonstrated experience managing workstreams or significant cross-functional projects with rapid deployment and execution.
* experience working with data science/analytics teams.
* past certification in project management or lean six sigma is a plus.
