this role manages the inventory and warehouse teams to ensure accurate inventory management, efficient material flow, and reliable shipping and receiving operations that support production and customer deliveries/returns.this position requires a strong operational leader with deep experience in inventory control, erp systems, and warehouse management.
the role demands strong process adherence, attention to detail, and a clear understanding of how inventory and material flow support the broader manufacturing lifecycle.key responsibilities:lead and manage inventory control and warehouse teams across multiple warehouse and storage locations.ensure high levels of inventory accuracy through disciplined system transactions, cycle counting, and reconciliation processes.oversee warehouse operations including receiving, storage, material handling, internal material movement, and outbound shipments.manage shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely and accurate inbound and outbound logistics.maintain accurate inventory records within erp systems and ensure all material transactions are completed correctly and on time.establish and enforce standard operating procedures for inventory control, warehouse management, and logistics operations.partner closely with production, planning, and procurement teams to ensure materials are available to support the manufacturing schedule.monitor inventory levels, material flow, and warehouse capacity to prevent shortages, excess inventory, or production disruptions.drive continuous improvement in inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, and operational efficiency.ensure teams maintain strong process discipline, documentation accuracy, and compliance with company inventory controls.leads the cycle count program, reports on overall inventory accuracy, and manages the wall-to-wall inventory counts across multiple locations.understands production material flow, different consumption methods, and understands the financial impact of different transactions.calculate and suggest safety stock levels to support service level goals.process shipping logs at the end of the day and balance against daily shipments.implement quality systems and environmental management implemented in the company in the warehouse areas.5s maintain.comply with legal, quality system, safety, health and environmental requirements.attend the training schedule.experience and knowledge:previous experience managing inventory or warehouse teams.strong experience using erp systems for inventory management and material transactions.good understanding of mrp (material requirements planning).
