about the role: the ops buyer role is an individual contributor position with responsibility for supporting the purchasing activity of resrg automotive global headquarters.
this individual will work closely with the purchasing category manager to support it, engineering, hr, and additional functions in their purchasing needs.
this person will have responsibility to execute the source to pay process for purchases using purchasing systems, processes, and financial controls.
the goal is to drive superior value and efficiency for corporate customers of the purchasing process.
responsibilities: build working relationships with key stakeholders in the business including requisitioners and purchasing leadership.
coordinates with admin assistants to support executive leadership purchasing activities.
support po for the "troy plant" and other non-manufacturing sites such as farmington.
review and convert all requisitions that are entered in cms to a purchase order.
review and approve all requisitions that are entered in coupa.
investigate and correct errors on invoices.
when invoices have the wrong po number, wrong price, etc.
; follow up with the requester to verify they get it corrected.
recognize systemic issues, determine root cause, and implement countermeasures to reduce errors.
