this is a 100% in‐office role based at our guadalajara, mexico location. Remote or hybrid work is not available for this position. Candidates must be able to work on‐site five days per week during designated work hours.

position overview

the regional hr generalist will work closely with local hr leadership in mexico, and regional management teams, to provide hands‐on hr support, ensuring that hr policies, programs, and processes are effectively implemented across the region. This role will support a wide range of hr functions through the employee life cycle and be proactive, organized, and able to manage hr operations across the region with a focus on employee satisfaction and operational efficiency.

primary responsibilities
* administers various hr programs including but not limited to new hire onboarding, background check screenings, payroll preparation, leave administration, culture activities and events, compliance training, performance appraisal process, etc.
* point of contact for employees and managers, providing guidance on hr policies and procedures.
* deploys hr policies/systems/programs/practices across assigned business units in the region.
* ensures compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures, across the region.
* help manage hr compliance‐related tasks, including maintaining accurate employee records, reporting, and auditing to ensure adherence to legal requirements.
* assist with the communication and enforcement of company policies, ensuring all employees are informed and trained on relevant policies.
* supports hr administrative/operational tasks, including managing employee leave, benefits administration, and other employee‐related documentation.
* may partner with local hr leadership on routine employee relations issues with sound judgement.
* point of contact for office space planning and facilities related needs in conjunction with the corporate facilities team.
* recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continuously improve efficiencies of the department and services we perform.
* assist in generating hr reports related to headcount, turnover, and other hr metrics, providing insights and recommendations to regional hr leadership.
education and experience
* bachelor's degree preferably in human resources or related field required
* minimum 2 years of hr experience
* familiarity with a wide variety of hr concepts, practices and procedures
* knowledge of mexico employment law
* ability to handle confidential information with great sensitivity
* experience in employee relations preferred
* strong skills in interpersonal communication, writing, and organization
* strong computer skills (ms word, ms excel and hris systems)
* ability to sit for extended periods: the role requires sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods, typically 7-8 hours a day.
* use of computer and phone systems: the employee must be able to operate a computer, use phone systems, and type. This includes using multiple software programs and inquiries simultaneously.
