about the role of kitchen assistant:
this role involves actively supporting food preparation during service, assisting the kitchen brigade with sanitization, reception, arrangement, cleaning, food prep, and related activities.
key responsibilities:
* ensure hygiene and proper arrangement of the work area, materials, and supplies before handling food.
* assist in assigned mise en place preparations.
* follow recipes and processes diligently; seek assistance if unsure.
* support food preparation during service with cleanliness, urgency, and discipline.
* actively help organize all food storage spaces.
requirements for this role:
* technical degree in gastronomy or related field.
* minimum 2 years of experience in the role.
* experience of over one year in luxury hotel gastronomy or similar is valued.
* excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* ability to work safely, prudently, and organized.
*applicants must have valid work authorization in mexico. Fluency in spanish is essential.*
