responsibilities
evaluating creditworthiness of new and existing customers by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information
establishing and reviewing credit limits for customers based on risk assessment
monitoring credit exposure and taking proactive measures to mitigate credit risk
reviewing and approving credit terms and conditions for new and existing customers
collaborating with sales teams to assess credit risk for new business opportunities
managing the collections process and ensuring timely payment of outstanding invoices
resolving customer disputes and negotiating payment plans when necessary
maintaining accurate and uptodate credit records and documentation
providing regular reports and analysis on credit risk and collections performance to management
staying uptodate with industry trends and best practices in credit management
qualifications
you must have
6+ years proven experience in credit management or a related role
strong knowledge of credit risk assessment and credit control practices
experience in evaluating creditworthiness and establishing credit limits
proficiency in financial analysis and interpretation of financial statements
excellent understanding of credit terms and conditions
ability to analyze credit reports and other relevant financial information
strong negotiation and dispute-resolution skills
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
attention to detail and strong analytical skills
proficiency in using credit management software and tools
we value
bachelor's or master's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
professional certification in credit management (e.g., certified credit executive)
experience in managing credit risk in a global or multinational organization
knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to credit management
experience in implementing credit management best practices and process improvements
