position overview
as part of the north american supply planning organization, this role is responsible for the development, planning and implementation of the s&op supply plan for a complex and high‑volume portfolio, including balancing and managing inventory, customer service requirements and total cost to meet finished goods demand with optimized total delivered costs (tdc). The planner will manage inventory for new product launches, disposition of slow‑moving and obsolete finished goods, and develop and drive continuous process improvement initiatives across the supply chain to improve capacity, reduce inventory and enhance service.
key responsibilities
- develop, plan and implement the supply plan to meet finished good demand at optimized tdc.
- track case fill and perform root‑cause analysis, and help define corrective actions.
- develop production (rough cut) & inventory plans to meet finished goods demand via internal & co‑pack operations network (capacity review).
- evaluate slow‑moving materials and excess inventories, recommend and implement corrective action plans, including safety stock analysis based on abc segmentation.
- daily manage and problem‑solve supply and inventory plan variances, including unexpected demand, ensuring appropriate communication and actions with customer service, sales planning, marketing, operations and customers as needed.
- serve as the supply chain lead on cross‑functional customer/business teams charged with business development, operational excellence and capacity development; recommend, lead and operationalize process improvements and cost reduction opportunities.
- proactively participate and engage in driving supply planning execution of new business opportunities, including new products and product discontinuations, and identify process efficiencies and improvements to optimize these opportunities.
- participate and support the s&op/ibp process (supply review, escalation and elevation of issues as needed).
requirements
- bachelor's degree.
- 2+ years of experience in supply chain planning, logistics, materials management, operations, or a related field.
- demonstrated ability to analyze, troubleshoot, problem‑solve and resolve complex issues.
- demonstrated success leading and championing substantive business plan recommendations for senior divisional leadership.
- ability to manage larger projects and/or process improvement initiatives with cross‑functional teams using advanced influencing and leadership skills.
- strong communication, organization and coaching skills.
- proficiency with ms excel, powerpoint, word, and sap/ecc.
- experience in powerbi, ms access and/or apo preferred.
- materials management experience preferred.
- advanced english proficiency (spoken and written).
