Job title: materials superintendent
the primary responsibility of the materials superintendent is to oversee and support the strategic plan of materials management. This involves leading, supervising, and advising a team to ensure departmental functions and measurables are met.
key responsibilities include:
• meeting inventory, regular freight, and premium freight goal kpis.
• monitoring compliance with the master production plan in terms of volume and mix.
• ensuring compliance with ios, mmsa, mmog, and iatf16949 procedures for successful audits.
• analysis of raw material inventory and preparation of control and reduction plans.
• monitoring and controlling obsolescence, following up on build outs.
• supporting releases to ensure satisfactory outcomes.
• analysis of customer demand and delivery plan negotiations.
• daily meeting monitoring.
• review and monitoring of the list of critics.
• analysis and workload balance of plans and masters.
required skills and qualifications:
• industrial engineering or similar degree.
• ability and willingness to travel and work at client sites, including industrial manufacturing plants that may require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
• knowledge of erp/mrp systems, logistics (transport).
