Field specialist – control & instrumentation

As a field specialist – control & instrumentation, you will lead the technical execution of onsite installation, maintenance, testing, and startup activities for gas turbines, steam turbines, centrifugal compressors, and generators. You will ensure safe and high-quality operations in accordance with engineering best practices and contractual requirements—primarily across latin america.
in this role, you will:
* having excellent functional/technical, customer focus, communication, interpersonal, and team working skills, and being specialized in instrumentation and control panels.
* perform autonomously some of the installation and/or maintenance activities of iet rotating equipment in the field at customer sites.
* be responsible for performing minor and major maintenance of equipment following the iet service site quality check lists and procedures, and be the primary contact to coordinate activities at the customer job site.
* provide records of all activities accomplished at the customer site to the baker hughes iet supervisor and promote and maintain good team relations.
* execute all required responsibilities safely by following all iet service applicable processes and procedures.
* perform other related duties as required according to the scope of work.
* provide limited troubleshooting on the equipment under maintenance and/or installation in the field.
* conduct all business activities in accordance with baker hughes core values (hse, quality, and compliance).
qualifications & skills required
* bachelor's degree preferred. Industry experience and iet product line training required.
* 4-6 years of industry experience and iet product line training required.
* demonstrate functional/technical, customer focus, communication, interpersonal, and team working skills.
* be mainly specialized in instrumentation and control panels.
* knowledge in any of the control systems such as markvie, woodward/micronet, opticom.
* knowledge in any of the products such as aero lm2500, lm6000, heavy duty gas turbines, centrifugal compressors.
* knowledge in mapping dle/tuning dln for turbine is a plus.
* intermediate/advanced english level.
* utilization around 85%. Able to travel locally and internationally.
* able to work offshore.
* t bosiet/thuet certificates are a plus.
