about the role
are you passionate about driving operational excellence in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment? We’re seeking a master scheduler specialist to join our team and lead production planning, scheduling, and resource optimization. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring on‑time delivery, collaborating across departments, and continuously improving our processes to deliver outstanding results for our customers.
key responsibilities
* develop and manage detailed production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, and capacity constraints.
* collaborate with purchasing, production, supply chain, and sales teams to ensure timely material and resource availability.
* monitor and adjust schedules to optimize throughput, minimize bottlenecks, and meet delivery deadlines.
* analyze facility capacity and initiate outsourcing or resource reallocation as needed, maintaining expense control.
* track daily work order progress, resolve schedule deviations, and implement corrective actions promptly.
* serve as the primary contact for internal sales associates and customers, providing regular updates on job status and timelines.
* communicate technical requirements to subcontractors and expedite orders as necessary.
* proactively identify risks to order fulfillment and leverage change orders to benefit the business.
* lead and participate in initiatives to improve scheduling processes, reduce lead times, and enhance delivery performance.
* ensure all documentation is completed accurately and on time, adhering to company standards and regulatory requirements.
qualifications
* bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or related field preferred.
* 8–10 years of experience in material planning, workflow scheduling, or production planning within manufacturing.
* advanced proficiency in managing multiple jobs and schedules simultaneously.
* strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, welding, inspection, assembly).
* excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to collaborate across departments.
* advanced skills in microsoft outlook, excel, access, word, and powerpoint; sap experience preferred.
* apics cpim certification highly desirable.
