In this role, you’ll strengthen operational reliability, drive digital‑enablement initiatives, and act as the on‑site it partner ensuring safe, efficient, and tech‑empowered plant operations. here’s what you’ll be doing
lead & support plant technology operations
* serve as the primary it liaison for plant leadership, providing visibility into system performance, risks, and digital‑roadmap progress.
* deliver hands‑on support for plant hardware, software, applications, and network infrastructure.
* troubleshoot laptops, desktops, monitors, connectivity, vpn, and software issues to maintain a secure and stable environment.
drive reliability & continuous improvement
* monitor local systems, identify failure points, and implement improvements to minimize downtime and optimize production flow.
* administer o365 services including account provisioning, access management, and system updates.
* support servicenow ticket management, including tier‑2 escalations.
collaborate with ot & engineering teams
* work closely with ot/pc&is engineering teams to ensure seamless it‑ot integration.
* assist in troubleshooting manufacturing systems, data flows, and controls to strengthen operational resilience.
enable digital manufacturing & special projects
* execute and sustain digital‑transformation initiatives that enhance automation, analytics, and plant system performance.
* contribute to solution deployment, user training, change management, and adoption of enterprise digital platforms.
* lead or support special projects, ensuring strong coordination, communication, and documentation.
qualifications
* 2–3 years of experience in desktop support or similar it support roles.
* bilingual english/spanish proficiency.
* experience troubleshooting hardware, software, network, vpn, and o365 (teams, sharepoint, outlook).
* servicenow or similar ticketing‑system experience.
* ms office skills, including data handling in excel.
* ability to work independently within a geographically distributed team.
preferred education & experience
* associate or bachelor’s degree in it, computer science, engineering, industrial technology, or related technical field.
* 5+ years of progressive it experience in manufacturing or plant‑floor environments.
* advanced o365 administration experience (identity, exchange online, sharepoint, teams, security/compliance).
* understanding of it/ot convergence, including exposure to scada, mes, controls, or industrial networks.
* experience with enterprise network infrastructure (switches, vlans, wireless, firewalls, segmented networks).
* background supporting digital manufacturing / industry 4.0 initiatives.
* servicenow experience (incident, change, asset management).
* certifications such as comptia a+, network+, security+, microsoft 365, itil, or equivalent.
* experience leading or coordinating it projects in manufacturing environments.
