you will lead and grow a business development team focused on outbound prospecting and lead qualification across the americas. Based in mexico city, you will manage both existing and new team members, playing a key role in building a high-performing, metrics-driven outbound team.
about the role
this is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with a startup mindset who thrives in fast-paced, high-accountability environments. As a seasoned business development leader, you will oversee recruiting, training, performance coaching, and contribute to the team's strategy and execution.
key responsibilities include:
* manage and coach a team of business development representatives (bdrs) in mexico.
* recruit, onboard, and scale a high-performing local team.
* own the full employee lifecycle, including hiring, performance management, and career development.
* drive outbound prospecting strategy through calls, emails, and linkedin outreach.
* conduct training sessions and performance reviews to continuously improve team output.
* monitor key metrics and team kpis; develop improvement plans as needed.
* collaborate closely with aes, marketing, and product teams to align pipeline generation.
* contribute to defining and evolving the bdr team's processes and culture.
* report on team progress to global sales leadership and provide operational feedback.
requirements
to be successful in this role, you must possess:
* 5+ years of experience in b2b sales or business development roles.
* minimum 2 full cycles as a bdr team lead, managing all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
* 2+ years of experience leading bdr or outbound sales teams.
* fluent english communication (written and verbal).
* proven success in building and scaling bdr teams from scratch.
* strong command of outbound sales tools and tactics (calls, emails, social prospecting).
* experience working in startups or tech companies with a fast-growth trajectory.
* ability to lead operational processes and manage hr matters independently.
* based in mexico city and willing to work on-site.
* comfortable collaborating across time zones with distributed teams.
* familiarity with crm tools such as salesforce or hubspot.
