job objective:
- manage and ensure the damage portfolio within commercial lines, meeting the committed service levels and ensuring compliance with underwriting policies and portfolio maintenance.
main functions:
- manage the assigned portfolio through monitoring renewals and the effectiveness in closing new business, aiming to achieve the expected budget while ensuring business profitability.
- be responsible for attending brokers and channels in the region with a technical-commercial approach.
- monitor analysis of claims trends within the portfolio, using available applications, to take corrective actions through the team in charge, on time and properly, to achieve the expected profitability.
- coordinate engineering visits, identifying clients based on underwriting guidelines or due to their characteristics, to better understand and mitigate portfolio volatility risk.
- manage the response times of the underwriting team, using institutional applications to ensure compliance with the committed service levels.
- team development based on results:
- develop underwriting teams into a technical-commercial role that allows them to effectively communicate product offerings through technical advice to distribution channels and clients, aiming to be their preferred option and driving market growth.
- ensure the technical development of the team through constant supervision, guidance, and coaching, promoting attendance to training courses or institutional workshops to achieve technical excellence.

- commercial relations and interdepartmental collaboration:
- maintain close communication with distribution channels through group or individual meetings to build greater trust in decision-making.
- maintain close communication with internal clients such as claims, collections, services, distribution, legal, it, etc., through face-to-face meetings or individual interactions, to ensure proper coordination with other areas.
- ensure excellence in customer service for the channels under your charge by providing specialized technical advice and proposing tailored insurance solutions based on client needs, with a technical-commercial perspective.
requirements:
- bachelor's degree in actuarial science, production engineering, civil engineering, or business administration.
- experience: 3 years of underwriting experience in damage insurance.
knowledge and skills:
- advanced level of english.
- advanced knowledge of damage insurance risks (property, civil liability, various technical and miscellaneous, cargo transportation, and vessels), reinsurance, pml and p analysis. Advanced knowledge of excel, macros, office suite, and ai tools.
