at tripleten, we\'re building an international family of digital re-skilling products to help people with versatile backgrounds learn a new profession and build a sustainable career in tech. Our program graduates have landed jobs at tesla, spotify, playstation, google, and microsoft. So far, over 25,000 students have chosen tripleten. We produce high-quality educational content and offer intensive courses in tech, complete with full access to an interactive platform, code reviews, and support from industry practitioners. We are rapidly growing, scaling, and looking for new specialists to join the team. Our content department is looking for an editor to develop courses in latin american spanish (with a focus on mexican spanish).
responsibilities
* edit, adapt, and localize educational materials into mexican spanish, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and cultural relevance for learners in mexico and other spanish-speaking countries in latin america.
* collaborate with instructional designers, developers, and subject matter experts to ensure content quality, consistency, and accuracy.
* review translations for linguistic precision, correct terminology, and adherence to tripleten’s editorial style.
* suggest improvements to enhance the learning experience for spanish-speaking students.
* participate in content testing and quality assurance to ensure materials display correctly and function as intended on the learning platform.
* maintain and update the spanish terminology glossary and editorial style guide.
qualifications
* native or near-native fluency in mexican spanish, with impeccable grammar and style.
* strong editorial and proofreading skills, with experience adapting texts for clarity and engagement.
* professional experience in editing, localization, or translation – preferably in the field of education, e-learning, or technology.
* ability to follow style guides and maintain consistency across large volumes of content.
* comfortable using collaborative tools such as google docs, spreadsheets, and task trackers (e.g., jira, trello, asana).
* intermediate or higher english proficiency (enough to read source materials and communicate with international colleagues).
nice to have
* familiarity with technical terminology in programming, data analysis, design, or other tech fields.
* experience working with learning management systems (lms) or content management systems (cms).
* understanding of ux writing principles and accessibility standards in digital education.
* experience creating or adapting content for latin american markets beyond mexico.
