Job Overview
The Project Manager oversees five key areas: Safety Leadership, Quality Leadership, Technical Delivery, Cost & Schedule, and Client/Stake Holder Management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, efficient, timely, and cost-effective project delivery of the Business Capital Portfolio.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and operations teams.
- Ensure contract construction firms employ world-class safety methods and meet cost and schedule commitments.
- Build a project team to deliver safe, effective, and capital-efficient design and procurement.
- Implement cost, schedule, and forecasting tools for on-time and within-budget project delivery.
- Manage stakeholder communication, ensuring regular updates tailored to audience technical skill and interest.
- Hold full accountability for project safety, cost, schedule, communication, scope, risk, quality, and delivery.
- Develop and utilize a safety and quality culture, leading by example.
- Manage interfaces and effective communication with mining operations, projects, finance, procurement, legal, vendors, and contractors in Mexico.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering
- MBA desirable but not necessary
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desirable
- 15+ years direct mining experience in capital projects execution in Mexico/USA and related industry, leadership of multiple capital projects over $50M, employment within the mining industry
- English advanced
