Job description:
the latam import/export manager oversees the integration of all operational aspects for international shipments from demand to delivery. This includes managing import/export processes and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The manager is responsible for expediting the flow of traffic to/from foreign destinations, including customs documentation and transportation.

* lead and manage a team to effectively recruit, train, evaluate, motivate, delegate, and monitor their activities.
* develop and manage training programs for direct reports on latam import/export procedures.
* manage the movement of products/equipment/materials in and out of latam countries in accordance with organizational policy and procedures.
* ensure the necessary documentation and online forms are completed efficiently, cost-effectively, and lawfully for all import/export activities.
* provide functional knowledge of sap international orders, transportation management, and trade compliance to direct reports and the latam supply chain.
* drive continuous improvement in the latam international supply chain.
* mentor business and project leaders within specific work-streams regarding requests related to import/export shipments.
* communicate with import and export authorities, customers, and suppliers in all relevant territories and countries.
required skills and qualifications:
we seek a candidate with a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and at least 10 years of experience in roles involving project management, process ownership, and/or people leadership. Strong sap knowledge and experience with order and transportation management and trade compliance are essential.
the ideal candidate will have demonstrated problem-solving skills, experience as a project manager leading a team through large and structured projects, and the ability to lead change across teams and functions. They must quickly grasp complex operations processes, manage multiple business requests simultaneously, and take initiative in managing assigned responsibilities.
