Role purpose the cqi auditor is responsible forindependent execution of aiag cqi‐23 (molding system assessments)andaiag cqi‐30 (rubber processing system assessments)at tier 1 and sub‐tier suppliers worldwide. The role ensures assessments are performed by aqualified assessor meeting aiag minimum requirements, with strong emphasis onprocess knowledge, objective evidence, risk identification, and consistent scoring. Core responsibilities conduct onsitecqi‐23 and cqi‐30 special process assessmentsin accordance with aiag methodology. Verify implementation and effectiveness of: process controls, quality management system elements and automotive core tools. Validatepfmea → control plan → work instructions → shop‐floor execution. Identifyprocess risksaffecting product quality, durability, and compliance. Document assessment results withclear, evidence‐based findings. Review and validate supplier30‐60‐90 day corrective action plans. Communicate assessment results to internal stakeholders and support supplier development.requirements: 1. Process knowledge & experience (cqi requirement) • demonstratedmolding and/or rubber processing process knowledge, including:rubber processing:mixing, molding, curing/vulcanization andplastic molding:injection, compression, or transfer molding. • evidence ofa minimum of 5 yearsof: applied industry experience in molding and/or rubber processing,ora combination of formal engineering education and applied molding/rubber processing experience totalingat least 5 years 2. Quality management system (qms) auditor qualification • must be anexperienced quality management system internal auditor, such as:iatf 16949 internal auditor oriso 9001 / iso/ts 16949 auditor experience • ability to audit qms implementationas it applies to special processes, not just documentation. 3. Automotive core tools competency • strong knowledge of and hands‐on experience applying:statistical process control (spc) ,measurement system analysis (msa) ,failure mode and effects analysis (pfmea), advanced product quality planning (apqp), production part approval process (ppap). • ability to evaluateproper application and effectiveness, not just presence. 4. Additional required technical skills cqi assessment execution • ability to independently: interview operators, technicians, engineers, and management, evaluate objective evidence (records, logs, parameters, spc, maintenance), assignconsistent and defensible scores • strong understanding ofaiag cqi assessment intent(risk‐based, process‐focused). 5. Manufacturing & process knowledge molding (cqi‐23):material handling and drying, process parameter definition and control windows, tooling condition, pm, and change management, startup, shutdown, and defect prevention rubber processing (cqi‐30):compound mixing controls and batch traceability, cure/vulcanization verification, press and oven control, storage, aging, and contamination prevention.experience requirements minimum (aiag‐compliant) ·5+ years total experiencemeeting cqi minimum assessor qualification criteria, including: molding and/or rubber processing, qms auditing, automotive core tools application. 7–10+ yearsautomotive manufacturing or supplier quality experience prior execution ofcqi‐23 and/or cqi‐30 assessments experience auditingtier 1 and sub‐tier suppliers supplier development and follow‐up audit experience ·bachelor's degreein engineering (mechanical, manufacturing, chemical, materials, industrial), ·certification iatf 16949 internal auditor(or equivalent qms auditor qualification)travel, visa & work authorization requirements available ~75% travel, including domestic and international supplier locations.
