*your tasks*
database management:
- install, configure, and maintain oracle, ms sql and some other database solutions.
performance optimization:
- monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high availability and effiency.
security, backup and recovery
- ensure database security by implementing access controls and monitoring for potential threats.
- implement and manage backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data.
troubleshooting:
- diagnose and resolve database issues, ensuring mínimal downtime.
- support end users by handling database-related tickets
documentation:
- document and maintain detailed records of database configurations, updates and procedures.
collaboration:
- work closely with international teams to support database-related needs and projects.
*your qualifications*
- education: bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in oracle and ms sql database administration.
technical skills:
- proficiency in oracle (data guard and replication) and ms sql database management.
- strong knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization.
- experience with backup and recovery procedures.
- understanding of database security best practices.
- adequate unix/linux systems administration experience to perform dba tasks
soft skills:
- excellent organizational skills.
- strong verbal and written communication skills.
- ability to work effectively in an international team environment.
- advanced english language skills.
- highly motivated to solve problems efficiently, fast troubleshooting and resolution skills
preferred qualifications:
- certifications in oracle and/or ms sql database administration.
- experience with cloud-based database solutions.
- familiarity with other database technologies (e.g., mysql, postgresql).
