Responsibilities:
in this role, you will be responsible for strengthening the health, safety, hygiene and environment (hse) culture, ensuring regulatory compliance and the consistent implementation of practices that protect our staff and maintain operational excellence.
legal and regulatory compliance in hse:
* ensure compliance with laws, regulations, international standards (ohsas/iso) and client requirements regarding safety, hygiene, occupational health and the environment.
audits and continuous improvement:
* coordinate and participate in internal and external audits, follow up on findings, implement corrective actions and promote continuous improvement initiatives, including 5s methodologies.
documentation, reporting and incident investigation:
* ensure the safety and well-being of staff through compliance with policies, procedures, inspection programmes, loss prevention and mitigation measures.
staff protection and operational implementation:
* ensure the well-being of staff through the implementation of policies, procedures, inspections, loss prevention programmes and mitigation measures aligned with the hsems system.
strategic involvement and technical support:
* provide specialist advice across all product and process phases, support quality projects and hse training, and lead system reviews to ensure that hse controls are integrated into operations.
profile requirements
education:
engineering or a related degree.
experience:
5 to 7 years in roles related to health, safety, environment or occupational health.
education:
engineering or related field
5 to 7 years' experience in the role
specific knowledge
current ehs legislation.
crisis management and emergency response.
administrative, accounting and monitoring processes related to hse.
