About the role – bar manager
the bar manager oversees the daily operations of all resort bars, ensuring high-quality service, compliance with safety and hygiene standards, and delivering a memorable guest experience. This role includes staff supervision, inventory control, cost management, and coordination with other departments to support resort events and services.
Location
east cape of los cabos, baja california, mexico – four seasons resort and residences los cabos, at costa palmas, located in la ribera. The resort offers a private marina, exclusive beach, and is situated along a two‑mile stretch of pristine white sand.
What you will do
oversee all aspects of bar operations, including staffing, scheduling, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management.
Develop, update, and manage the bar menu in collaboration with the food & beverage leadership team, featuring signature cocktails, seasonal offerings, and premium selections.
Monitor inventory levels, place timely orders, manage vendor relationships, and control beverage costs to minimize waste, shortages, and variances.
Ensure exceptional guest experiences by addressing customer concerns promptly and professionally, implementing effective solutions and follow‑up when needed.
Train and mentor bar staff in mixology techniques, beverage knowledge, service standards, and responsible alcohol service.
Plan and execute bar activations, events, and promotions to increase revenue, enhance guest engagement, and support overall f&b initiatives.
What you bring
fluency in spanish and english is required.
Minimum of 3 years of bar management experience, ideally within a hotel, resort, or luxury hospitality environment.
In‑depth knowledge of food and beverage operations, with strong expertise in wine, beer, and spirits.
Extensive knowledge of tequila and mezcal, including sourcing, presentation, and guest education.
Knowledge in micros and opera system.
Familiarity with hospitality systems such as opentable is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety standards and health regulations.
Basic understanding of financials (e.g., labor cost, p&l, inventory).
Experience operating computer equipment.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Bilingual proficiency in english and spanish (spoken and written) enhances candidacy.
