*about the role*
in this opportunity as a *senior iam engineering*, you will
- *active directory management*:
- administer, configure, and maintain active directory (ad) domains and forests.
- create, modify, and manage ad user accounts, groups, organizational units (ous), and group policies (gpos).
- ensure the integrity and security of ad infrastructure, including handling user permissions and access control.
- perform regular ad health checks, troubleshooting, and remediation of issues.
- *entra id (azure ad) management*:
- administer and configure microsoft entra id (azure ad) for identity and access management.
- integrate and synchronize on-premises active directory with entra id for hybrid identity management.
- *security & compliance*:
- implement and enforce security protocols such as mfa, self-service password resets, and identity protection policies.
- conduct regular audits to ensure security compliance and adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
- identify and resolve potential security risks in both active directory and entra id environments.
- *troubleshooting & support*:
- provide troubleshooting support for ad and entra id-related issues, including authentication failures and user access problems.
- collaborate with other it teams to resolve cross-platform identity and access management challenges.
- maintain detailed documentation of ad and entra id configurations, processes, and incident resolutions.
- *monitoring & reporting*:
- monitor and report on system performance, user login activity, and identity security metrics.
- use tools like powershell, azure ad logs, and other monitoring solutions to maintain visibility into directory services.
- provide periodic reports on user activity, security incidents, and compliance audits.
*about you*
you’re a fit for the role of *senior iam engineering*if your background includes:
- proven experience working with *active directory*(ad) and *entra id*(azure ad).
- strong knowledge of *identity and access management (iam)*principles, *authentication methods*, and security protocols (e.g., mfa, sso, conditional access).
- experience in *powershell scripting*for automation and management of ad/entra id tasks.
- familiarity with hybrid cloud environments, including integration between on-premises ad and cloud services.
- understanding of security concepts such as least-privilege access, role-based access control (rbac), and directory security.
- experience with directory synchronization tools such as *azure ad connect*.
- 5 years of experience managing active directory environments
*preferred skills*:
- *certifications*such as microsoft certified: azure active directory fundamentals or microsoft certified: identity and access administrator associate.
- knowledge of additional identity and security solutions like *microsoft intune*, *privileged identity management (pim)*, and *identity protection*.
- experience with cloud identity services beyond azure ad (e.g., aws, oracle cloud infrastructure, google workspace).
- familiarity with itil or other it service management frameworks.
