role overview
we are seeking an electrical engineer to lead commissioning, troubleshooting, and sustaining of automated electrical test systems. The role involves electrical bring-up, power distribution validation, networking configuration, and root cause analysis across complex test environments. You will develop python-based tools for diagnostics and automation, ensure system reliability, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support high-performance testing infrastructure.
key responsibilities
commissioning & bring-up
* lead electrical bring-up of new and existing test setups, including controls integration, network configuration, and sensor validation
* validate power distribution, grounding, and instrumentation across test environments
troubleshooting & root cause analysis
* diagnose and resolve electrical, firmware, and networking issues involving plcs, daq systems, dc power supplies, chillers/thermal controllers, and automation hardware
* perform systematic root-cause analysis to prevent repeat failures
networking & controls
* configure and maintain managed switches, vlans/subnets, static ip assignments, and controller-to-server communication
* resolve connectivity and communication issues across complex test networks
automation & python scripting
