Overview
position title: quality engineer
reports to: quality manager
as a quality engineer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving our product/service quality standards. You will lead quality initiatives, drive process enhancements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve our quality objectives.
responsibilities
* quality assurance leadership
o provide leadership and expertise in quality assurance processes, methods, and tools.
o lead and mentor the quality engineering team, providing guidance and coaching.
o drive a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
o ensure adherence to quality standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
* quality planning and strategy
o develop and execute comprehensive quality plans and strategies to meet organizational goals.
o collaborate with management to define quality objectives, targets, and kpis.
o identify and prioritize areas for quality improvement and process optimization.
o establish and implement quality metrics and reporting mechanisms.
* root cause analysis and problem-solving
o lead root cause analysis investigations for quality issues and non-conformities.
o implement corrective and preventive actions (capa) to address identified problems.
o utilize quality tools and methodologies (e.g., 8d, six sigma) to resolve issues.
o implement robust and sustainable solutions to prevent reoccurrence.
* quality system compliance
o ensure compliance with quality management system standards e.g., iso 9001, as9100, iatf 16949 & vda (desirable).
o participate in internal and external audits and maintain audit readiness.
o collaborate with regulatory affairs to ensure product/service compliance.
o support the development and maintenance of quality policies and procedures.
* process improvement and optimization
o lead and participate in process improvement projects to enhance efficiency and quality.
o implement statistical process control (spc) and quality control measures.
o identify opportunities for automation and digitization in quality processes.
o drive lean and six sigma methodologies to streamline processes.
