*what success looks like in this role*:
lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud infrastructure and devops processes, adhering to industry best practices and standards.
- develop and maintain comprehensive strategies, roadmaps, and architectural blueprints for cloud operations and devops initiatives.
- provide technical leadership in the ci/cd domains using tools such as jenkins, ansible, terraform, docker, aws, and kubernetes.
- implement best practices for aws operations and stay up to date with new aws services.
- implement and maintain a self-service public cloud paas that allows product and project teams to deploy environments for development, testing, and production.
- ensure the process for deploying environments is fully automated and consistent.
- proficiency in containerization tools like vagrant, kubernetes, and docker.
- collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, architect solutions, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.
- champion automation initiatives to streamline deployment, provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring of cloud resources.
- conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and cost optimization to maximize the efficiency and scalability of cloud environments.
- mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and innovation within the organization.
- stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in cloud computing, devops, and related domains, driving continuous learning and improvement.
- contribute to thought leadership activities, including whitepapers, technical blogs, speaking engagements, and community involvement.
- hold a certified aws solutions architect certification.
*you will be successful in this role if you have*:
- bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field; master's degree preferred.
- 15+ years of hands-on experience in cloud operations, devops, or related roles, with a proven track record of success.
- certifications: preferred certifications include aws, cissp, itil, gcp, terraform associate.
- expertise in cloud platforms such as aws, azure, or google cloud, including infrastructure services, networking, security, and management tools.
- deep understanding of devops principles, practices, and methodologies, with experience implementing ci/cd pipelines, configuration management, and automation frameworks.
- proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as terraform, cloudformation, or arm templates.
- strong experience with containerization technologies such as docker and orchestration platforms such as kubernetes.
- hands-on experience with ci/cd tools such as jenkins, gitlab ci/cd, or azure devops.
- proficient in scripting and automation using languages such as python, powershell, or bash.
- excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
