*description*:
responsible for coordinating procurement activities such as technical and tactical interface for rfq (request for quotation), tco (total cost of ownership), fai (first article inspection) surveillance as well as managing the data entry for the tooling data base while interacting with other areas from the supply chain team such as engineering, advanced sourcing and quality teams. The scope of this role is for the top spend categories in the americas.
*key responsibilities*:
- support global category managers:
- rfq (request for quotation) packages preparation
- rfq (request for quotation) follow up.
- tco (total cost of ownership) data collection to support the decision-making process.
- release documentation changes with suppliers: drawings, carton artwork, spec sheets.
- arrange the sample process for new cartons until having marketing approval to release to production.
- facilitate data gathering from suppliers required by the marketing/engineering teams: packaging, pallet qty, dimensions, weights, performance, current, voltage, etc.
- support to payment process acting as a representative of the category manager when a delay in payment has been notified by the supplier, this translates on leading the internal teams to understand the root cause, resolution, and action plan to prevent this arising in the future.
- communication with buyers to correct pricing on pos (purchase orders) from ppv (price paid variance) report.
- data gathering to support sub class cleanup for the categories.
- provide support in global sourcing and procurement forms and templates.
- fai (first article inspection) follow up with qc (quality control) and engineering.
- tooling data base data gathering and maintenance support.
- dual sourcing e1 set up support.

- current college student interested global supply chain/global sourcing and procurement.
- experience using ms office tools, including intermediate to advanced excel skills.
- a drive to solve complex and challenging problems and ability to thrive while working both independently and within a team environment.
- excellent communication (both written and verbal), organization, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- english - professional communication level required.

- interest in knowledge of material planning and inventory management.
