role summary
we are seeking a skilled and proactive manufacturing production line engineer to join our clients team. This hands-on role involves maintaining, repairing, and installing production line machinery to ensure efficient manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical engineering background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
key responsibilities
* preventative maintenance
o conduct routine inspections and maintenance of production line machinery to minimize downtime.
o implement and monitor preventative maintenance schedules.
* repairs and troubleshooting
o diagnose and repair mechanical issues on production lines to ensure minimal disruption.
o respond promptly to breakdowns and apply appropriate technical solutions.
* installation and upgrades
o install new production lines or individual components as required.
o upgrade existing equipment to improve efficiency and production capacity.
* safety and compliance
o ensure all machinery complies with health and safety standards.
o follow established procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
* collaboration and reporting
o work closely with production teams to identify potential issues and develop solutions.
o document maintenance activities and provide regular updates to supervisors.
qualifications and skills
* educational requirements: bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
* technical expertise: in-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and tools. Hands-on experience with maintaining and repairing manufacturing machinery.
* skills and competencies: strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* additional requirements: ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Flexibility to work outside regular hours when required.
* english speaker: candidates must be fluent in english
