the marketing manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to enhance the hotel’s brand awareness, drive revenue growth, and position the property as a leading luxury destination in cancún. This role oversees digital marketing, branding, pr, advertising, and promotional campaigns while ensuring alignment with the hotel’s business objectives.
key responsibilities:
1. Marketing strategy & brand management:
* develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans to promote the hotel’s luxury positioning, dining outlets, spa, events, and guest experiences.
* maintain and strengthen the hotel’s brand identity, ensuring consistency across all channels (website, social media, print, etc.).
* monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to adjust strategies accordingly.
* understanding of the hotel’s digital marketing efforts, including seo/sem, email marketing, paid advertising (google ads, meta, etc.), and content strategy.
* lead social media strategy (instagram, facebook, linkedin, tiktok, etc.), engaging with influencers and generating visually compelling content.
3. Public relations & media relations:
* collaborate with pr agencies and media outlets to secure coverage in luxury travel publications, blogs, and broadcast channels.
* organize press trips, fam tours, and media events to showcase the hotel’s offerings.
* handle crisis communications and maintain a positive brand reputation.
4. Advertising & promotions:
* plan and execute multi-channel advertising campaigns (print, digital, ota partnerships, etc.).
* develop seasonal promotions, packages, and partnerships with luxury brands or local attractions.
* monitor campaign performance and roi, adjusting strategies as needed.
5. Content creation & storytelling:
* supervise the production of high-quality visual and written content (photos, videos, blogs, newsletters).
* ensure all marketing materials reflect the hotel’s luxury standards and appeal to target audiences (leisure travelers, honeymooners, corporate clients, etc.).
6. Analytics & reporting:
* track kpis (website traffic, conversion rates, social engagement, revenue impact) and prepare regular reports for management.
* use data-driven insights to optimize marketing efforts and budget allocation.
qualifications
* qualifications & skills:
* bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, hospitality, or related field.
* 5+ years of marketing experience, preferably in luxury hotels/resorts or tourism.
* proficiency in analytics tools (google analytics, meta business suite, crm systems).
* excellent communication skills in english and spanish (written and spoken).
* creative thinker with strong project management and leadership abilities.
* knowledge of the cancún/riviera maya market and key travel industry trends
* preferred:
* experience with luxury hospitality brands.
* familiarity with hotel pms/crs systems (e.g., opera, canva).
* relationships with travel agencies, influencers, and media contact
