* participate in the integration of the company's erp system with the annex 24 inventory control system to ensure a smooth and accurate flow of data.
* provide support to the director of trade compliance in the execution of strategies to optimize customs and compliance processes in order to reduce costs and operational risks.
* ensure legal compliance with trade laws and regulations, including proper licensing for the entry and exit of merchandise from all business locations.
* monitor the performance of customs brokers and other business partners related to trade compliance to maintain strong relationships that ensure efficient customs operations.
* development and implementation of trade compliance programs and procedures for import and export regulatory compliance for all sites.
* participates in the administration of the oea & ctpat organization’s supply chain security programs for all sites.
* conduct audits to verify compliance with import and export transactions, ensuring accurate declarations and identifying discrepancies.
* develop and implement sops, sows, and instructions for standardizing processes across all sites.
* implements and monitors risk mitigation plans at all sites.
* assists and supports customs audits by mexican and u.s. federal authorities.
education, knowledge, and skills required
* bachelor's degree in foreign trade or related field.
* knowledge of import/export regulations and compliance standards.
