position summary
the manufacturing engineering, maintenance & automation manager will lead the engineering, maintenance, and automation teams to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of machining operations. This role is responsible for driving technical excellence, equipment availability, process stability, and the strategic integration of automation to meet production goals and quality standards.
responsibilities
* ensure compliance with ehs standards; actively support and promote ehs initiatives across all teams.
* serve as a key member of the plant leadership team, providing technical expertise and supporting the implementation of operational improvement strategies.
* optimize machinery and equipment performance following standard operating procedures, enhancing product quality and achieving kpis.
* lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process for maintenance and automation, including capital expenditure proposals and legal compliance.
* manage maintenance material spending and implement cost management strategies.
* lead the implementation of total productive maintenance (tpm).
* oversee, coordinate, and manage the introduction of new machinery, from defining specifications to installation, collaborating with stakeholders.
* develop and manage a high-performing maintenance and engineering team to meet performance goals and drive continuous improvement.
* set and uphold high operational standards through personal example and team communication.
* provide technical expertise, identify necessary skills and resources, and support complex projects, involving external support when needed.
* collaborate with production, quality, and planning teams to support manufacturing efficiency and resolve process issues.
* drive automation projects to enhance productivity, safety, and cost-efficiency.
* define and monitor kpis such as oee, mttr, mtbf, and project completion rates.
qualifications
* 8-10 years of leadership experience in manufacturing engineering, maintenance, and automation projects.
* bachelor's degree in mechanical, mechatronics, electric engineering, or a related field.
* fluent in english for business communication.
* experience with cnc-based machining operations.
