Job description: field controls engineer - material handling systems - usatmc mexico is seeking an experienced controls engineer to lead commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of advanced material handling systems for top-tier clients including amazon, fedex, walmart, and ups. This role is ideal for someone passionate about control systems and field service engineering, eager to learn, and ready to advance their career in the energy and industrial sectors.the profile selected will lead complex, large-scale projects requiring strong leadership and problemsolving skills. Candidates must have a valid working permit for the usa (we also sponsor tn visas). Responsibilities:review electrical, safety, and system layouts to align plc designtest, debug, and document plc code and system functionalityexecute test plans at area, zone, and section levelsconfigure component-level devices and support commissioning activitiestroubleshoot electrical issues on conveyors, motors, drives, and related systemsmonitor progress, manage and execute punch lists, and maintain detailed documentationconduct integrated system-level testing and quality checks on-siteensure compliance with all jobsite safety requirementscommunicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to support projectrequirements:proficient with allen-bradley plcs, powerflex vfds, sick and banner sensors, and industrial camerasminimum 3 years’ experience in material handling or industrial control systemsproficient with plc hardware/software and industrial communication protocols (ethernet/ip, profinet, as-i)bachelor’s degree in mechatronics/electrical/automation/robotics engineering, or related fieldability to interpret electrical schematics and work closely with panel builders/designersstrong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills across multidisciplinary systemsknowledge of networking principles, project scheduling, and control system integrationproactive, accountable, team-oriented, and able to prioritize work effectivelywillingness to learn and travel 100% of the time for system commissioning and supportable to climb ladders and lift up to 30 lbs without difficultycapable of working 10-hour days in construction environmentscomfortable standing, walking, sitting, and climbing stairs for extended periodsadvanced level of english, speaking & writingwhat you can expect from us:tmc is an international high-tech consultancy company that brings expertise to its clients to support them with the realization of their technological challenges.
