objective:
the import/export specialist is responsible for coordinating and managing international shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and optimizing logistics operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining the smooth flow of goods across borders, supporting foxconn’s global supply chain efficiency.
key responsibilities:
import & export operations
* coordinate import and export activities, including documentation, scheduling, and customs clearance
* classify goods according to tariff codes and ensure accurate declarations
* prepare and process shipping documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading
* monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any transportation issues
compliance & documentation
* ensure all shipments comply with local and international trade regulations
* maintain accurate records of import/export transactions for audits and reporting
* stay updated on changes in customs laws, tariffs, and trade agreements
logistics coordination
* plan logistics routes and arrange transportation with carriers and freight forwarders
* communicate with suppliers, customs brokers, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations
* support warehouse and inventory teams with inbound and outbound shipment coordination
reporting & process improvement
* track and report key metrics related to shipping performance and cost
* identify opportunities to streamline import/export processes and reduce delays
* assist in developing sops for international logistics procedures
qualifications:
* bachelor’s degree in international business, logistics, or related field
* 2+ years of experience in import/export or international logistics
* advanced english proficiency (spoken and written); mandarin is a plus
* strong knowledge of customs regulations and international trade documentation
* proficiency in microsoft excel and logistics software (e.g., sap, oracle, or similar)
* excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
