about carbon
carbon is a technology-forward investment management firm specializing in multifamily real estate investments and property management. We operate two complementary brands—carbon capital (investment opportunities) and carbon residential (property management)—united by our commitment to blending technology, design, and data-driven strategies to deliver exceptional experiences for investors and residents alike.
as we scale our digital presence, we're seeking a skilled web developer / web designer who can architect, optimize, and maintain our web ecosystem while driving meaningful business results.
our digital properties:
 * *
the opportunity
we're looking for someone who thrives at the intersection of design and technology—a professional who not only creates beautiful, engaging websites but deeply understands how integrations, automations, and data flow support a seamless marketing funnel.
this isn't just about building pages; it's about creating conversion engines that turn visitors into investors and residents. You'll have ownership over our digital touchpoints and work directly with our performance & analytics specialist to implement improvements that enhance user experience, strengthen lead generation, and drive measurable growth.
if you're proactive, detail-oriented, and excited to make a tangible impact in a high-performance environment, this role is for you.
what you'll do
core responsibilities
design & development
 * build, revamp, and maintain responsive websites and landing pages—primarily using webflow—with a strong eye for aesthetics, layout, and conversion-focused design
 * create high-converting pages for investment opportunities, property listings, and marketing campaigns
 * ensure brand consistency across all digital touchpoints while bringing fresh, modern design perspectives
 * implement mobile-first, responsive designs that deliver exceptional user experiences
technical integration & automation
 * connect and maintain integrations with external apis, ai/llm tools, and various automation platforms to streamline workflows
 * build and manage seamless integrations between our website and activecampaign crm
 * implement tracking pixels, analytics tools, and conversion tracking mechanisms for data-driven decision making
 * set up marketing automation workflows that nurture leads from first touch to conversion
 * troubleshoot technical issues and optimize site performance for speed and reliability
collaboration & optimization
 * partner closely with our performance & analytics specialist to test, analyze, and continuously improve site performance and user experience
 * implement a/b testing frameworks and conversion rate optimization strategies based on analytics insights
 * proactively identify gaps, suggest improvements, and enhance the website's usability, functionality, and visual appeal
 * monitor user behavior and site metrics to inform design and development decisions
quality assurance & continuous improvement
 * review all deliverables for accuracy, responsiveness, and brand consistency before deployment
 * stay current with web development trends, webflow updates, and industry best practices
 * provide strategic recommendations for new tools, technologies, and optimization opportunities
 * maintain documentation for integrations, workflows, and technical processes
what we're looking for
required qualifications
technical expertise
 * 3+ years of experience in web development and design, with a strong portfolio of webflow or similar cms-based projects
 * webflow mastery: deep understanding of webflow's capabilities, limitations, and best practices
 * integration experience: proven ability to integrate third-party tools, apis, and automation platforms (zapier, make, webhooks)
 * crm proficiency: hands-on experience with activecampaign or similar platforms (hubspot, mailchimp, etc.)
 * front-end development: strong html, css, and javascript skills for custom functionality and troubleshooting
 * design capabilities: solid understanding of ux/ui principles, responsive design, and modern web aesthetics
professional skills
 * excellent communication skills—able to collaborate effectively across teams and time zones
 * strong attention to detail with a quality-first approach to all deliverables
 * open to constructive feedback and eager to iterate based on data and user insights
 * proactive mindset toward problem-solving and continuous improvement
 * self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a fast-moving, feedback-driven environment
nice to have (bonus points)
 * experience with analytics tools (google analytics, tag manager, hotjar, mixpanel)
 * familiarity with ai tools, chatbot implementation, or llm integrations
 * solid knowledge of seo best practices and core web vitals optimization
 * previous experience in financial services, real estate, or b2b marketing environments
 * understanding of conversion rate optimization (cro) methodologies

 * before/after examples demonstrating your design evolution and problem-solving approach
 * real estate, finance, or investment-focused websites that build trust and drive action
you bring:
 * a data-driven approach to design decisions, not just aesthetic preferences
 * examples of proactive improvements you've identified and implemented
 * experience optimizing for both desktop and mobile user journeys
 * a growth mindset and genuine curiosity about emerging technologies
