reporting to the sales director, you will manage a portfolio of customers, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and driving business growth.
this role may include managerial responsibilities for a small country/area, overseeing account activities and ensuring agreement across teams.
you will be based in our corporate office located in san angel, working four days onsite and one from home a week.
account growth & profitability management
increase revenue for designated accounts by managing both sales (top line) and profitability (bottom line)
lead negotiations for pricing agreements within established guidelines, managing credit, pricing, and rebates for main accounts to maximise profitability
defend and protect givaudan's base business in assigned market and with assigned customers, ensuring retention and satisfaction while identifying opportunities for expansion
account strategy & planning
create, communicate, and implement strategic annual development plans (adps), sales forecasts, and budgets for key accounts, ensuring alignment with our goals
define and track clear key performance indicators to measure success and guide decision-making
oversee the quality and quantity of projects within the pipeline to ensure understanding of growth plans, addressing any issues that may arise
customer relationship management
develop relationships with main customer decision-makers, positioning givaudan as their preferred supplier through trust and value delivery
coordinate all givaudan activities related to designated accounts, ensuring agreement across teams and a unified approach to customer engagement
analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats, adjusting strategies accordingly
collaboration & communication
work with teams (marketing, technical, regional account managers, and operations) to ensure that customer needs are met and that givaudan delivers on its commitments
professional development
participate in ongoing learning and development to stay current with industry trends, givaudan's offerings, and best practices in account management
your professional profile includes
university degree in chemical engineering, industrial engineering, food engineering or other related fields.
4+ years of experience in food, chemical or related industries, with knowledge of b2b environment.
apply strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting skills.
in-depth understanding of customer profiles, preferences, and competitive landscape.
experience accomplishing all account management steps in the brief handling process; understand how to manage scale-ups.
understanding of profitability goals.
