We are committed to providing our guests with unforgettable memories and experiences, and we are looking for a chief steward to join our team in playa del carmen, quintana roo, mexico.job summary: as the chief steward, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operation of the stewarding department at our resort. You will ensure that all kitchen, dining, and service areas are maintained in a clean and orderly manner, and that all equipment and supplies are properly stocked and maintained.
You will also be responsible for managing a team of stewards and ensuring that they are trained and motivated to deliver exceptional service to our guests.key responsibilities: - oversee the daily operations of the stewarding department, including dishwashing, cleaning, and maintenance of all kitchen and service areas
- ensure that all equipment and supplies are properly maintained, and that any malfunctioning equipment is promptly reported and repaired
- develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the resort
- train and supervise stewards, ensuring that they are following proper procedures and providing top-notch service to our guests
- monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed
- work closely with other departments, such as housekeeping and food and beverage, to ensure efficient and timely service
- maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulationsqualifications: - previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort setting
- strong leadership and communication skills
- excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitation procedures
- ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
